1: Zinc alloy is a common material for fingerprint locks and accounts for the largest share in the industry. Due to its ease of processing and forming, and the use of IMD processing technology on its surface, its panels are wear-resistant, scratch-resistant, durable, dust-proof, and waterproof, with a long service life and durability. It is the preferred material for mid- to high-end smart door lock panels.

 

2: Stainless steel is generally made of 304. The panel is stamped and the screws are welded, resulting in high hardness, strength, and rust resistance. It also offers advantages in terms of resistance to force and cost. Many smart lock bodies are made of stainless steel.

 

3. Aluminum alloy is lightweight, has low hardness, is easy to form, and is easy to process. It's also relatively lightweight. In the fingerprint lock market, low-end aluminum alloys are often used to reduce costs.

 

4. Space aluminum: This is an aluminum-magnesium alloy that has undergone special treatments like high-temperature oxidation. It can withstand temperatures of thousands of degrees Celsius and strong impacts. It's a high-strength and corrosion-resistant aluminum product, lightweight and durable, and has a longer service life.

 

5. Copper smart locks are available on the market, but they're rare. Because copper is relatively expensive, its price tag is high, and with few buyers, manufacturers rarely offer it. However, copper's strong plasticity allows for the creation of finely structured lock cylinders. It also offers high strength, high hardness, and excellent corrosion and wear resistance.

 

6. In the era of mechanical door locks, iron was the most common material used. While its strength and surface finish weren't as good as stainless steel, it was the most economical and cost-effective. It's lightweight, easy to form, and moderately difficult to surface treat and electroplat. Its surface corrosion resistance is average.

 

7: Plastic and glass. Plastic is generally an auxiliary material. The password recognition part of the smart lock is sometimes made of acrylic. Glass is a relatively special material. The tempered glass panel is not easy to scratch and rarely leaves fingerprints. Although tempered glass has high hardness, it is generally used in high-end smart locks due to its high manufacturing cost.
